Talon Lockjaw Underground GET has delivered outstanding results in a recent controlled trial run against the leading underground GET in the market.
PJL Group’s, Chris Plummer, Group Manager Remote Operations, said the trial conducted by Talon Distributor PJL Group was verified by the client as the two machines (Cat 2900’s) went head to head on the same mine.
“The Talon Lockjaw delivered an incredible 87 percent cost saving based on better wear rates and comparative costs per engine hour,” Chris explained.
“The trial was run over a 13-week period. Talon shrouds were not changed while the competitor changed half-life corners and wore through one complete set.
“Calculations were based on total engine hours less idle hours and the Talon GET cost per hour was $8.05 AUD against the competitor at $15.04 AUD.
“All data and measurements were verified by the client on site. No additional calculations on costs associated with GET changeouts were included.
“This controlled trial has proven that the Talon Lockjaw has superior wear properties and an improved product design that can reduce GET costs and change outs required in underground applications.”
