PJL Group Western Australia is set to officially open a new site next month with recently appointed WA Group Operations Manager, Craig Walker.
Craig recently signed a 5-year lease for the new workshop located at 1-3 Stott Rd, Welshpool, to keep up with the strong demand in the West.
“I am very excited by the growth of PJL Group not only in the West, but Nationally,” Craig said.
“With the dedicated team here in Perth and with the support from the National group, we can (with the new facility) provide a very competitive edge to many facets of the mining service and maintenance industry.
“The Group Manager role within PJL Group will provide more focussed support to the local area and allow more dedicated and detailed engagement with our customer base and our supplier groups.”
Craig brings a wealth of mine industry experience to the operation. He was a Mine Manager at Stawell Gold mines in Victoria where he started as an apprentice electrician.
Craig also spent time as a Service and Operations Manager for UME based in Bendigo in Victoria where he travelled extensively managing a drilling fleet with 70-100 personnel in the field.
In the West, Craig was appointed the Contracts Managers for Atlas Copco at the Boddington mine site in a bid to turn the contract back into the black. He also did a stint in construction on a RTIO site - Nammuldi.
