Phil Wilkin recently attended the opening day at Sealink on the 11th of July, and is pictured here with exiting General Manager, Tony McPaul.
The PJL Group were involved in the project, which saw the extensive upgrade of Newcrest’s old facility in Blayney to a new facility on the Sealink rail connection.
The upgrade involved, among other things, the design and construction of 2 large, and 2 smaller steel tanks. The large tanks are over 13m in height and have a storage capacity of over 120,000 litres of concentrate. This additional storage capacity will enable additional throughput of ore to China and increases the overall growth capacity of Newcrest.
“PJL Group were highly commended and very appreciated as a company for our performance and professionalism. It was also mentioned with the 300,000 plus man hours, there was no lost time injury on site.” Phil Wilkin commented.
Well done to the whole team!
