From a humble workforce of 3 people in 2006, to a workforce of over 200 strong in 2016, this year marks 10 years in operation for the PJL Group, bringing with it some interesting challenges.
With Base Metal prices in some sectors hitting new lows, it has forced the hand of some of our clients with regards to their spend and requirements for maintenance. PJL Group is working hard with these clients to optimise situations to ensure their needs are met.
Internally, PJL Group's new Org Structure is working well, with Operational Group Managers assigned to cover specific regions, allowing for improved supervision and interaction with Senior Management and Floor Staff.
PJL Group has signed a distributers agreement with Talon International Pty Ltd. PJL Group will have exclusive distribution rights of the Talon range of “Ground Engaging Tools” for the Eastern States of Australia. Our Business Development Manager, David L'Estrange has already begun working to introduce this new product to our clients, showing them the benefits available from a safety and cost efficiency perspective.
I would also like to Welcome Daniel Duell to the PJL Group team. Daniel has taken up the position of Warehouse Manager based at PJL Group’s new Warehouse Facility in Cobar. It is our intention to supply our existing customers in that area with a complementary range of products to assist with their mining and maintenance activities.
Congratulations to Phil and his team on the successful completion of the tanks on the Sealink project. This has registered a major milestone in PJL Group’s progression towards increasing its infrastructure work and capabilities across the group.
Congratulations must also be passed on to the entire PJL Group team for continuing to achieve zero LTI’s. The industry we all work in can always place new hazards in front of us, but the PJL Group team have been exceptional at identifying and eliminating those hazards, which is reflected in our WHS statistics. PJL Group has maintained zero LTI’s for the entire 2015 calendar year, and to date. Well done and keep up the good work!
As 2016 marks 10 years in operations, plans are already underway to arrange functions and other items to commemorate this milestone. I would like to thank all our employees, past and present, as well as all our loyal clients and other stakeholders for their support over the past 10 years. It has been a memorable journey and I am looking forward to see what the Admin team have planned for celebrations; they never fail to impress!
