This year, the PJL Group have welcomed two new Operations Managers for Mt Isa and Orange Mechanical – Lee Robinson and Michael Parker.
Lee joined the Mt Isa team in January 2015, and has 30 years of trade and business experience in structural steel fabrication and installation, mine construction, maintenance & shut downs as well as surface mobile fleet wear packaging & power generation construction.
“The business is expanding and our Mt Isa site is a big part of that. We’re in for a good ride up here – the company has built a good base locally to springboard off, and has planted some great roots. That groundwork made it a much easier transition into the role”
“There are so many opportunities out there, and the PJL Group are in the right place to take advantage of those opportunities. We think outside the box to find solutions for our clients”
On his days off, Lee enjoys a range of sports such as go-karting, motor racing and surfing;
“There’s no surf in Isa, so that’s out for now!!!!”
Michael Parker, Orange’s new Operations Manager for the Mechanical site, moved to the region 7 years ago. Working in the mining industry in Queensland, Western Australia and New South Wales for over 20 years has provided him with a wealth of experience which complements the team at the Mechanical facility.
“I’m really enjoying working with the PJL Group – they have some new and exciting projects which keeps us all very busy!” Michael said.
Michael is married with two daughters, and in his spare time races off-road motorbikes with one of his daughters!
“The PJL Group are a progressive company and a great group of people to work for. I really enjoy working with people who are going in the same direction as me.” Michael said.
